TOUR HIGHLIGHT:
This 11 day
cycling program takes cyclists through the scenic rural countryside
of northern Thailand. Along the route, you can touch a joyful of
smiling faces and warm hospitality of local North and exotic hill
tribes, enjoy views of calm rivers and expansive rice paddies in
various mountain settings, savor the real agricultural lifestyle of
the people, explore ancient towns and Buddhist temples, feel the
pulse of the vibrant city of Chiang Mai
ITINERARY:
Day 1-Sat 2:
Chiang Mai
Ride 20-30 Km
Pick up from
Chiang Mai Airport OR from hotel in Chiang mai. Afternoon let warm
up our first day of cycling trip by ride down South of Chiang mai on
road that follow along Mae Ping River pass rice fields through
“Ban Tawai”, a famous woodcarving village of Chiang mai.

Day 2-Sun 3: Chiang mai– Lam Phun- Lampang
Ride 60-80 Km
Morning, ride from the town pass
“Bo Sang”,
a famous handicraft village of Chiang mai and “San Kam
Phaeng” where you can find many kinds of local products as;
silk fabrics and cotton products, woodcarving, silverware, earth
ware, lacquer ware and handmade umbrellas then change to ride on
back road that follow along the forest foothill of Khun Tan National
Park to Mae Tha. After that travel by van to Lampang town with stop
en route to visit the ”Young Elephant Training Centre”
where its serve for many functions that involve about elephant as: a
training school for elephant aged three to five years for timber
work; a residence place of royal white elephant of Thailand present
King; and an elephant hospital for help elephant whom that have got
a serious injured or ill-treatment. After
visit the elephant center continue travel by van to visit
“Wat Phra That Lampang Luang”, one of the most
attractive and finest temples in the North that were constructed in
the late 15th century and well known for its large
pagoda which towers above the surrounding trees, and its exquisite
interior decoration. Late afternoon begin cycling from the temple to
Lampang town, the second largest town in
Northern Thailand.

Day 3- Mon 4: Lampang- Chae Son National Park
Ride 60-80 Km
Today we will ride on scenic back road surrounding among
stunning view of valleys, hills, and
mountains topography of Lampang past teak forests and rice
fields of Muang Pan District through Cha Son National Park. Late
afternoon is free to wonder around the park for explore its
interesting places as the 6-level Chae Son Waterfall OR relax your
body by mineral hot water bathing OR traditional Thai massage
(optional not include).

Day 4- Tue 5:
Chae Son National Park– Phayao
Ride 60-80 Km
Ride on rolling
scenic back road from the highland area of Chae Son National Park to
tranquil town Phayao. Take a short walk on the evening for admire a
beautiful view of sunset above an
extensively fresh-water lake,“ Kwan Phayao”, the
largest fresh-water fish habitat in the upper North which provides
the livelihood of many of the local people and serves as a
recreation sites for local.

Day 5-Wed 6:
Phayao– Chiang rai
Ride 60-80 Km
Ride on quiet
back road from fresh water land of Phayao up north to Phan. Along
the route, while riding through rice paddies and
farmer communities we can stop to chat
with the friendly rice farmers about their crops and their local
farming methods. After lunch travel by van to the
northernmost province of Thailand, “Chiang rai” with
stop en route to visit “Wat Rong Khun”, a unigue white
temple that its designed is different from any other temple in
Thailand. After dinner you can walk to
wonder around a famous night bazaar of Chiang rai which is sites
near by the hotel.

Day 6-Thu 7:
Chiang rai– Golden Triangle
Ride 60-80 Km
Ride from Chiang rai town to the Golden Triangle,
a famed border where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet and it was once
supposed to be the center of all the poppy cultivation in Thailand.
Today ride is on quite back road past
cultivation area of a famous pineapple of Chiang rai,
“Nanglae” and “Phulae” which its taste are
difference from other pineapple in Thailand. Late afternoon is free
to relax on hotel swimming pool OR refresh your body by a
traditional Thai massage (optional not include). Evening, we walk to
visit the opium museum before have a dinner.

Imperial Golden Triangle

Day 7-Fri 8: Golden Triangle– Chiang Saen– Golden
Triangle Ride 50-60 km
After
breakfast, ride on a scenic back border
road of Thailand and Laos that follow along the “Mekong River”.
(This 4,590 Km long river flows from China pass Thailand,
Laos, Cambodia through the China Sea of Vietnam) to
the historical towns of Chiang Saen, one
of the oldest towns in Thailand set beautifully on the bank of the
Mekong River which was founded in 1328 by Saenphu as a powerful
fortification with many temples. Stop en route to visit “Wat
Chedi Luang”, the largest temple in Chiang Saen which is
famous for its classic Chiang Saen octagonal Chedi. After lunch,
travel by van back to the hotel. Afternoon, is your choice for
choose to travel to Thailand’s northern most district for visit its
border open market of Thailand and Myanmar, “Mae Sai”
OR free to relax on hotel swimming pool.

Imperial Golden Triangle

Day 8- Sat 9: Golden Triangle– Mae Chan- Tha ton
Ride 60-80 Km
After breakfast
travel by van to Mae Chan for begin cycling on scenic rolling road
climb up and down hill passing many hill tribe villages to a very
relaxing town, “Tha ton”. Late evening is free time to
walk up hill to visit a charming hill top temple “Wat Tha Ton”
where it famous teaching mediation for foreigner and school for
monks, novices and youths as well as a drug rehabilitation center
and a hill tribe support unit. Enjoy scenery of sunset above the
valley of sleepy town.

Day 9- Sun 10: Tha ton– Fang– Chai Prakan- Mae Taeng
Ride 60-80 Km
Today ride is on scenic rolling road that follow along the foothill
of Angkhang past Fang, a border district of Thailand and Shan State
of Myanmar through Chai Prakan then travel by van to Mae Taeng. Late
afternoon is free to relax on resort’s swimming pool.
Overnight at Royal Ping Resort

Day 10-Mon 11:
Mae Taeng– Mae Rim– Chiang mai Town
Ride 40-50 Km
Ride from Mae Taeng valley on a foot hill road of Suthep- Pui
National Park to Mae Rim District then change to ride on road follow
along the main river of Northern Thailand , “Mae Ping”
to Chiang mai town.
After dinner,
don’t forget to visit a famous night market of Chiang mai,
“night bazaar”
where you can find various style of northern handicraft and
souvenir.

Day 11-Tue 12:
Chiang mai
Ride 20-30 Km
Morning is your choice to travel by van or choose to ride up hill to
the mountain top temple of “Wat Phra That Doi
Suthep”, the 14thcentury temple and one of a must
place to visit in Chiang Mai. Transfer to Chiang mai Airport for
fly to Bangkok on the afternoon.

24 gear hybrid Trek model 7300 with difference frame size. Just
inform us about your height in advance before departure date, our
staff will prepare the one that match for your height for make you
fell comfortable while cycling.
Our well-stocked
van OR 4WD truck will drive follow the riding group for carry
supplies, drinking water, hot coffee &
tea, snacks, fruits, bike tools and accessories, first aid kits and
things you might need to use. This accompany van provide a welcome
break when you have had enough peddling for the day OR for snacks,
storage OR succor.
Our staff use
two way radios for communicate each other while they’re working for
help us have a smooth operation and can make a quick work in case it
have any emergency.
Daily cycling
route and distance on each trip are flexible. It can be adjusted or
