Thailand Bike Ride
11 DAY 10 NIGHT TRIP

50% flat roads and 5o% up hill and down hill.
Northern Thailand, a joyful land of smiling faces, warm hospitality,
ancient temples, elephants, exotic hill tribes and luxuriant
tropical jungles.
TOUR HIGHLIGHT:
This trip is
designed to bring you close to the rural life and beautiful nature
of Thailand Northern. By day you cycle in a scenic road through
villages beside rice paddies and fruit orchards some times stopping
at wayside tea-stall to experience charm of the countryside. Your
cycle journey begin in Chiang mai, often described as the “Flower of
the North” to visit its interesting sites as agricultural and hill
tribal villages, elephant camp, ancient temples and its land of
million rice fields of Chiang Dao onto Chiang Rai,
the northernmost province of Thailand
and a travelers paradise endowed with abundant natural tourist
attractions and antiquities; the province itself is evidence of past
civilization. Attractions range from magnificent mountain scenery,
ruins of ancient settlements, historic sites, Buddhist shrines and
ethnic villages as the province is also home to several hill
tribes who maintain fascinating lifestyles.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Bangkok – Chiang mai
Pick up from hotel
in Bangkok to the Bangkok International Airport for fly to Chiang
Mai. Late afternoon prepare your bicycle and short brief about our
program.
Overnight at the
Empress Hotel – D
Day 2: Chiang
mai – Chiang Dao ----- (Ride 50 -70 km)
After breakfast
ride on road that follow along the Ping River past rice fields
through agricultural villages of Chiang Dao. See many kind of
working daily activities of local people work in the rice fields or
in fruit orchards along the roadside

Chiang Dao Hill Resort

Day 3: Chiang Dao
– Thaton
----- (Ride 60-80 km)
Ride on scenic
back road from Chiang Dao past agricultural villages, rice fields
and fruit orchards to Tha ton, a Chiang mai’s northern most villages
and a place where the Maenam Kok flows to Chiang Rai town. Here, you
can observe the simple, traditional but splendid riverside lifestyle
of the hill tribe villages. Late evening is a free time to observe a
beautiful view of Tha ton in charming hill top temple “Wat Tha
Ton” where it famous teaching mediation for foreigner
and school for monks, novices and youths as well as a drug
rehabilitation center and a hill tribe support unit.

Day 4: Thaton – Mae Sai Border Pass

Ride up and down
hill on great scenic back road of the Northern part of Thailand that
follow along Thailand and Myanmar Border through “Mae Sai”,
Thailand’s northern-most district. Late Afternoon is free time to
visit the border open market of Thailand and Myanmar.

Day 5: Mae Sai Border Pass – Chiang
Rai ----- (Ride 60-80 km)
Today we still ride on scenic road past famous pineapple plantations
of the north through Chiang Rai town, the northernmost province of
Thailand and a traveler paradise endowed with abundant natural
tourist attractions from magnificent mountain scenery, ruins of
ancient settlements to ethnic villages.

Day 6: Chiang Rai – Wieng Pa Pao

Continue ride on scenic road past golden rice fields
of Chiang rai to ancient town of Wieng Pa Pao.
Overnight at the
C&C Lodge – B, L, D
Day 7: Wieng Pa Pao – Chae Sorn NP.

After breakfast we ride from an agricultural village
of Wieng Pa Pao to
“Chae Sorn
National
Park”,
a forest park that famous for a lush forested and mountains region
with a 73-celsius hot spring over rocky terrain that providing a
misty and picturesque scene particularly in the morning and also
good for those who would like to refreshment theirs body by mineral
hot stream bathing.

Day 8: Chae Sorn National Park –
Lampang ----- (Ride 60-80 km)
After a hot stream bathing in the morning we will
ride up and down in scenic hill surrounding with teak and mixed
forest to rice fields of the Wang River basin in
“Lampang”,
the second largest town in Norhtern Thailand that offers much of the
historic interest of Chiang mai, but without the overt
commercialization and a good base for excursions and travel within
Northern Thailand

Day9: Lampang–San Kamphaeng

This morning we will ride to visit
“Wat Phra That
Lampang
Luang”,
one of the most attractive and renowned temples in Northern Thailand
that were constructed in the late 15th century. After
that we will ride up and down hill past teak forest to the Thung
Kwain forest park to visit the
”Young Elephant Training Centre”
where its serve for many functions that involve about elephant as: a
training school for elephant aged three to five years for timber
work; a residence place of royal white elephant of Thailand present
King and an elephant hospital for help elephant whom that have got a
serious injured or ill-treatment. After that we continue cycling to
“San Khamphaeng Hot Springs”
that its water is high in sulphur content and possesses curative and
restorative properties. Free time to refreshment yourself by mineral
hot water bathing.

Kamphaeng Hot Springs Resort–B,L,D
Day 10: San Kamphaeng – Chiang mai ----- (Ride 30-50 km)
Today we will ride
to Chiang mai town including a time to visit at a famous handicraft
village of Chiang mai, “Bo Sang Village” where its
famous for an identity handmade and “ San Kamphaeng”
where you can find many kinds of local products as; silk fabrics and
cotton products, woodcarving, silverware, earth ware, lacquer ware
and handmade umbrellas. For lunch we will taste many kinds of real
Northern food at local famous restaurant for you get to know more
about Local Thai Lanna Food Arts. Late afternoon, we travel by van
to visit the mountain top temple of Doi Suthep.

Day 11: Chiang mai – Bangkok
Morning is a
free time to re-observe Chiang mai town. After lunch travel by van
to Chiang mai airport for fly back to Bangkok.

quality imported 24 gear mountain bikes with front suspension that
fixed for your height from bicycle frame size 13” till size 20”
including helmets and bicycle water bottles.
A support air-con
van with Thule roof rack and two way radio accompanies group during
riding to carry supplies, bicycle tools & spare parts, first aid
kits, drinking water, snacks and provide a welcome break when your
have had enough peddling for the day.
Our experienced
trailed leader accompanies group during riding with a two-way
radios.
