HTK9– Hua Hin to Krabi Bike Ride

Get under the skin of the country and people of Southern Thailand from the serene beach of Hua Hin to the white sandy beach of Krabi

TOUR HIGHLIGHT:

This trip is designed to ride in amazing Southern Thailand to witness the natural beauty of Thailand’s seas, the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman, as well as the different lifestyles and traditions of local people in the various places dotted along the coastlines. The beautiful beaches and friendly fishing villages of Prachuap Khiri Khan and the crystal-clear sea of Chumphon and show cyclists the real beauty of the region on the west side of the Gulf of Thailand. Your trip finishes on the Andaman Sea coast in Krabi, where the turquoise water and limestone cliffs always fascinate the sea-lover. Trip activities combine with trekking in Khao Sok National Park (Thailand’s largest virgin rainforest) and kayak ride on a crystal-clear water on inner sea of Krabi plus a relax day on beaches and a chance to experience a fantastic local tasty foods.

 

ITINERARY:

Day 1:  Hua Hin– Prachuap Khiri Khan– Ban Krut
Ride 70 km

Meet at hotel in Hua Hin then begin the first day ride on the tranquil back streets for enjoy the seascape along the quiet beaches of Prachuap Khiri Khan and witnessing the marvelous mountain views of marine park, “Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park” (Mountain with 300 peaks) before arrive in Kuiburi district then travel by van to the tranquil beach of Ban Krut where you can relax on the vast beach.

Day 2: Baan Krut – Bang Berd 
Ride 60-80 km

Ride in the quiet scenic back road in Thailand’s biggest coconut plantations that parallel with the Gulf of Thailand coast to find fishing villages, stunning views of crisscrossed routes in incredible places hidden from tourist sights through Bang Berd Beach where you will see a stunning beauty evening view on the golden sandy beach. If you are lucky during cycling today  you might have a chance to see an amazing working activity of monkey so Let’s stop and ask monkey owner about a special technique how they trained theirs monkey to pick coconut down.

Day 3: Bang Berd – Chumphon
Ride 60-80 km

Continue cycling on crisscrossed routes along side the sandy beach pass many fine curve sandy bays of the Gulf of Thailand Coast through Chumphon province, another well-kept gem of Thailand’s coastline, where you can relax on the vast beach. Pedal in the warm sea breeze, stop and refresh yourself in the waves. Just relax and visit friendly fishing villages. Late afternoon is free time to take a rest on hotel swimming pool OR lay down on white sandy beach.

Day 4: Chumphon – Surat Thani
Ride 60-80 km

Today ride is to the biggest Southern fruit orchard, “Luang Suan” (means behind garden). This is the kingdom of the fruit orchards where farmers cultivate their crops in jungle-like conditions. Let’s stop en route to taste a fresh fruits from local fruit stalls OR inside fruit orchards as: Queen of Thai fruit “Mangosteen” (May – August); Rambutan (May – August); King of Thai Fruit “Durian”   (May – August); Longon (May – August); Rose apple (July – August); Showgu Orange (all year round), finger nail banana (all year round) and etc. Today evening for those who would like to relax OR get experience on a famous traditional Thai massage OR Spa, you have a chance to do that at the hotel (optional not include)

Overnight in Surat Thani

Day5: Surat Thani- Raja Phraba Dam 
Ride 60-80 km

Today is a challenging ride mixed with flat to up and down hill on a great scenic road past a border edge side of tropical rainforest of Khao Sok National Park through Ratcha Prapa Dam. After lunch, travel by boat along a limpid, placid lake that might make you to find a peace of mind by its nature purity and a fantastic stunning view of beautiful limestone mountains. Tonight we will stay on a cozy raft floating in a remote corner of a huge reservoir.

Overnight on bamboo raft (simple room)

Day 6: Ratcha Prapa Dam – Phang Nga
Ride 60-80 km

Fresh get up among beautiful scenery of frost rise above a gigantic lake of Raja Phraba Dam. After breakfast, travel by boat back to the dam main office. Continue the journey to Phang Nga by challenging ride up and down hill on a great scenic road of Surat Thani and Phang Nga. Afternoon is free to relax on resort’s swimming pool.

Overnight in Phang Nga

Day7: Phang Nga – Ao Luek
Ride 60-80 km

Continue cycling up and down hill on a great scenic road from Phang Nga to a fishing village of Ao Luek. Late afternoon is an option to continue cycling OR travel by van to Phang Nga Bay view point. Have a dinner among a stunning beautiful view of sunset above the Phang Nga Bay.

Overnight in Ao Luek

Day 8: Ao Luek – Ao Nang
Ride 50-60 km

Morning is a challenging ride on up and down hill on a great scenic road of Krabi that have a background of stunning view of limestone cliffs and a foreground view of lush rubber plantations. After cycling we will explore a hidden beautiful nature of Andaman Sea Coast by take kayak ride in the vast mangrove forest and lagoon of Tha Lane. Afternoon is free to enjoy the white sandy beaches and turquoise-colored seas of Krabi.

Overnight in Ao Nang Beach 

Meal: B, L, D

Day 9: Ao Nang - Krabi - Bangkok

Morning is free time. Afternoon transfer to Krabi Airport OR extend your holiday in Krabi.

FACT FILE:
We provide good 24 gear hybrid Trek model 7300 with difference frame size. Just inform us about your height in advance before departure date, our staff will prepare the one that match for your height for make you fell comfortable while cycling.
 

Our well-stocked van OR 4WD truck will drive follow the riding group for carry supplies, drinking water, hot coffee & tea, snacks, fruits, bike tools and accessories, first aid kits and things you might need to use. This accompany van provide a welcome break when you have had enough peddling for the day OR for snacks, storage OR succor.
 

Our staff use two way radios for communicate each other while they’re working for help us have a smooth operation and can make a quick work in case it have any emergency.  

 

Daily cycling route and distance on each trip are flexible. It can be adjusted or changed to match your tasted OR level of your physical ability.
